DOH-Citrus Hosts Car Seat Check Trunk or Treat

Citrus County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus) invites parents and caregivers of young children to attend the Car Seat Check Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

The event will be held from 1 – 3 p.m. at:

3700 W Sovereign Path

Lecanto, FL 34461

Certified car seat safety technicians will install car seats or check that cars seats are properly installed. Free car seats will be available to those who qualify, while supplies last.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their best costumes and trick or treat with community partners, while learning about DOH-Citrus programs for moms, babies and families, and more.

The event is part of DOH-Citrus’ Car Seat Safety Program. Car seat safety is critical for every child who rides in a vehicle.
