In Memory of Former LCSO Deputy Raymond A. Worden
Mr. Worden began his career with the Lea County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy on June 1, 1981. During nearly 19 years with the Sheriff’s Office, he served in several capacities, including Deputy, Sergeant, and Acting Lieutenant in the Civil Division, before retiring on December 31, 1999
His commitment to public service extended well beyond Lea County. Mr. Worden served his country for 20 years with the United States Army National Guard, served eight years with the Hobbs Police Department, and volunteered with the Knowles Fire Department. Following his law enforcement career, he continued working in the community before retiring in 2019.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Worden’s wife, Sandra, his children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and his former colleagues in law enforcement and public service. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
