KANSAS CITY, Mo. – As autumn begins and the weather cools, it’s a perfect time to head outdoors and try a new skill or two. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites everyone to its free Get MO Wild outdoor event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Blue Valley Park, 2301 Topping Ave. in Kansas City.

The free, family outdoors day and conservation fall fest will have nature exhibits, food trucks, and opportunities to try a variety of outdoor skills such as archery, fishing, tomahawks, atlatl, and more. Experts will be available to teach and guide participants as they try new skills.

Food trucks will be onsite to purchase treats. The first 300 attendees will get a free lunch.
