THORNTON, CO, UNITED STATES, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Haunted Field of Screams, Colorado's largest haunted attraction located on Riverdale Road in Thornton, Colorado, will open its 2026 season on Sept. 25.

Guests enter through a timed ticketing system, arriving during a 30-minute window tied to their purchased entry time. A VIP Fast Pass is available for guests who want a shorter wait in the queue line.

What began as a single corn path with a handful of hand-built scenes has grown into a full-scale outdoor haunt featuring more than 80 actors, multiple haunted houses, a wagon ride, a haunted forest walk-through, and a cornfield encounter, adding up to an approximately 40-minute immersive experience.

A special effects makeup team works ahead of each season to transform the cast with realistic scars, stitches, wounds, and masks, giving every character along the route a lifelike, unsettling quality.

Because the attraction unfolds outdoors rather than inside a built structure, the cornfield itself becomes part of the scare, with towering stalks, moonlight, shifting shadows, and ambient sound standing in for the walls of a traditional haunted house.

Parking is free and located onsite in a dirt field, and guests are advised that conditions may be muddy depending on weather.
