Sergeant Kenneth Salas, We Honor and Remember Your Service and Sacrifice
One year ago today, August 9, 2025, Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Kenneth Salas was tragically killed in the Line of Duty while serving our community.
It is with sadness that we remember his loss; we all miss him each and every day.
It is also with pride and honor that we remember his 34 years of dedicated service as a valued and cherished member of the Sheriff’s Office, along with his over two decades of honorable service to our Country with the United States Air Force and Washington State Air National Guard. This highlights his commitment and inspires admiration.
Sergeant Salas selflessly dedicated his life to the service of others, but he was so much more to everyone who knew him as a person.
We continually hold his wife and extended family in our hearts. There is nothing that can ease the loss of Ken, but together, Ken will always be remembered.
Although our community is reeling from the devastating fires that have caused so much loss and destruction, there is no doubt Sergeant Salas would be telling us to focus on serving our community, which we will do in his honor.
We miss you, Ken. We remember your service and sacrifice, Sergeant Salas. Knowing and working beside you has been a gift and blessing to us all.
Always Remember, Never Forget!
